Terms of service

These terms are a contract between you and Duxo covering your use of https://demo-studio-ten.vercel.app and the studio application. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you are using Duxo for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept on its behalf.

Our privacy policy forms part of these terms.

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Give accurate registration details and keep them current.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done under your account.
• One person or organisation per account. Do not share credentials.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Duxo records your screen, camera and microphone in your browser, gives you an editor for the result, and lets you export it or turn it into other formats. Recording, editing and encoding run on your own computer.

Because it depends on browser features that are not available everywhere, Duxo requires a Chromium-based browser such as Chrome, Edge, Arc, Brave or Opera. We do not guarantee it will work on browsers that lack the necessary support, and support for a browser may change as vendors change their implementations.

Free plan

Recordings are limited to 60 seconds per take and exports carry a watermark. It is free indefinitely and does not require a card.

Standard plan

Priced locally in each market rather than converted at checkout: ₦10,000 NGN, $15 USD, £11 GBP, €10 EUR, GH₵82 GHS, KSh1,000 KES, R120 ZAR per month. Annual billing costs ten months' money for twelve months of access.

Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel.

Payment processing

Stripe processes USD, GBP and EUR. Paystack processes NGN, GHS, KES and ZAR. Their terms apply to the payment itself.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not pro-rate part-months.

Refunds

If the service does not work as described, email us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it. Refunds are not offered for a change of mind after substantial use.

Price changes

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Taxes

Prices exclude any tax that may apply in your jurisdiction.

You own everything you create. Your recordings, project files, exported videos and the guides the copilot writes from your recordings are yours. We claim no ownership of them and acquire no right to use them for our own purposes.

You grant us one narrow, revocable licence, and only when you ask for it: if you publish a how-to, you permit us to store and serve that article and its screenshots so the embed can be loaded by the sites you place it on. Unpublishing or deleting it ends that licence.

You are responsible for having the right to record what you record. Do not capture material you do not own or have permission to use, and be mindful of people whose personal data may appear on screen.

You agree not to use Duxo to:

• Record anyone without the consent required where you are, or capture material you have no right to capture.
• Create or publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, deceptive, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Impersonate another person or organisation, including in content published to YouTube through the service.
• Attempt to bypass plan limits, remove the free-plan watermark, or otherwise circumvent access controls.
• Probe, scan, overload or interfere with our infrastructure, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.
• Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section.

Some features connect to services we do not control, and using those features means accepting their rules as well as ours.

• Publishing to YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's policies. You are responsible for what you upload to your own channel, and YouTube may apply its own limits, review or removal.
• Payments are subject to Stripe's or Paystack's terms depending on your currency.
• We are not responsible for a third-party service becoming unavailable, changing its terms, or restricting access to it.

The copilot writes a draft from what it can see in your recording. It is a drafting tool, not a verified record of what happened on screen.

• Output may contain mistakes, omissions or misreadings of the interface. Review it before publishing.
• We make no warranty that generated content is accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose.
• You are responsible for anything you publish, whether or not it was drafted by the copilot.
• Similar output may be generated for other users from similar inputs; drafts are not exclusive to you.

We aim to keep Duxo running and improving, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features, and may need to take the service down for maintenance. If we discontinue a paid feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of your subscription.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Duxo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost recordings.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Because your recordings and project files are stored on your own computer rather than by us, keeping backups of them is your responsibility. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You can stop using Duxo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we are required to act on by law, or that poses a risk to the service or other users. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why.

On termination, your account record, YouTube tokens and published how-tos are deleted. Files saved on your own computer and videos already uploaded to your own YouTube channel are unaffected.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we will email you about material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use Duxo afterwards means you accept them. This version is dated 24 August 2026.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law grants you rights that cannot be overridden by contract, nothing here removes those rights.
